“You bloody ripper!” It was a Trober Trifecta on Saturday at Tony Sheehan Oval as all three teams recorded resounding wins kicking a combined 42.42 to 13.9 for the day. The Women defeating Power House to record their second win and both Men’s teams accounting for Masala.
The Reserves, boosted by 8 players with senior games this season, dominated St Johns scoring a 96-point win. The Seniors were close to full strength and leading by 26-points early in the second term when playing Assistant Coach Josh Rogerson was turned in a tackle and suffered a double fracture of his lower right leg. After a lengthy delay, the umpires and Club officials agreed to abandon the game.
After a slow start the Reserves took control of the game in the second quarter and went on to record a comfortable 65-point win. The Seniors dominated the first half and were leading by 108-points when the game was called off due to lightning and thunder storms!

The Senior Men suffer their first loss for the season, the Reserve Men continue on their winning ways, and a celebration for the Senior Women with Steph Castagnini’s 50th game milestone but a loss nonetheless.
